Finishing is the part of the process where a good piece can still be lost. It gets its own room, its own air handling and its own quality check.
The sequence
Machine sand, hand sand with the grain, denib, first oil coat, cure, cut back, second coat. Nothing about it is quick and nothing about it can be skipped.
